Committees

Committees meet at each Board Meeting and as needed throughout the year.  State Directors from each active county in the state make up members of the committees.  

Membership
Oversees membership campaign, develops incentives and awards, and any other matters pertaining to membership.

Breed Promotion
This committee also plans activities to promote the Holstein breed and educate members.

Sales
Plans and coordinates the sales that the association sponsors.  These sales include, but are not limited to, The NY Convention ET Sale held in January at our State Convention, sales held at the Carousel Show in April, the NY Harvest Sale held typically at Cornell in November, and two commercial sales held in the Spring and Fall.

Publications
Reviews the activities of the New York Holstein News, including the yearling schedule, editorial content, advertising rates, and gives support and guidance to the editor on any other matter pertaining to the magazine.

Show
Plans the NY International Spring Holstein Show and NY Holstein State Show, reviews county/regional shows, and establishes guidelines and provides input into the Spring Dairy Carousel.
