​Our Mission:
​To educate and train the leaders of tomorrow and to promote the Holstein breed to preserve the Holstein tradition.

The New York Junior Holstein Association is open to anyone interested in Holstein cattle and under 21 years of age as of January 1 of the current year. 
​The purpose of the NY Jr Holstein Association is to: 
  • ​ Promote greater interest among young people in registered Holstein cattle
  •  Conduct activities and education programs designed to offer Junior members increased opportunities for personal and financial success
  •  Promote and support the growth of local Junior clubs and to become an integral part of the New York Holstein Association
  • Encourage each member to participate in showing and judging at all levels with the purpose of promoting the Holstein breed

​New York Junior Holstein Association Executive Committee

There is a Junior Executive Committee that consists of a President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, and chairpersons of the ten (10) standing committees: Awards, Showmanship and Judging, Activities, Resolutions and By-Laws, State Convention, Promotion, Education, Dairy Bowl, Dairy Jeopardy, and Special Funding.  The Distinguished Holstein Junior Members shall also be members of the Executive Committee.

 Junior Executive Committee Goals:
  •  Increase junior participation on a statewide level through enhanced communication between the Executive Committee and local clubs
  • Increase junior and senior interaction to facilitate a smooth transition into senior membership
  • Increase sales of promotional items and calf raffle tickets through county involvement
  •  Encourage involvement in all junior contests
  • Uphold The New York Junior Holstein Association's positive image as leaders in the Holstein industry
  •  Work effectively and efficiently as an Executive Committee

What Can it Offer Me?

The chance to meet other young people from all around the state of New York who share a common interest in dairy cattle and agriculture. You will take on new challenges, develop new skills, and promote and learn all about Registered Holsteins. All this is accomplished while having fun with many others.
