The All-NY, Jr All-NY and Red and White contests will be selected by independent judges based on
​show placings and the photo.   Professional photos are required.

All-NY Official Rules

ELIGIBILITY
  1. All owners/exhibitors must be current members of the New York Holstein Association to qualify. 
  2. All entries must have been shown at a New York Holstein Association sanctioned show during the current show season to be eligible. These include: NYHA sanctioned club shows, NY Spring Dairy Carousel, and NY State Fair.  
  3. All-NY Group Class Entries – In the All-NY contest, NYHA accepts the group entries as shown in the ring. Therefore, any entry that is shown and placed at a qualifying show will be eligible for the contest in the class. 

ENTRY FORM & REGISTRY CERTIFICATE
  1. Entry forms are available online at nyholsteins.com.
  2. It is the responsibility of the owner/exhibitor to submit a signed, completed entry form by the due date for each entry. List placings from all shows. Placings will be verified. 
  3. A copy of the Registration Certificate for the animal being entered must accompany the entry form. 
  4. A professional photo must accompany the entry form. Pictures must be taken during the current year and show the animal in the same stage of growth and/ or lactation as when making the qualifying show ring appearance.
  5. If a Junior exhibited the animal during the show season but sold the entry they may still apply for a Junior All-NY award.
  6. Ownership of entry at submission date will be the ownership published on the All-NY Award. 
  7. A $25 nomination fee will be due by January 1 for All-NY, Reserve All-NY, High Honorable Mention and Honorable Mention All-NY award winners.  The nomination fee will be credited if an advertisement is placed in the All-NY issue of the NY Holstein News.  If the nomination fee is not paid by the deadline, the exhibitor will forfeit the recognition and the next nominated animal will receive the nomination.

CONTEST PROCEDURE 
  1. An anonymous group of judges will place each class independently.
  2. Point values are assigned as follows: 
    1. First place= 1 point
    2. Second place= 2 points
    3. Third place= 3 point 
  3. The All-NY winner will be the entry with the lowest point value, Reserve All-NY will earn the second lowest points, High Honorable Mention will be determined by the third lowest points and Honorable Mention will be determined by the fourth lowest points.

*To be eligible for Lifetime Production class, the cow must have been shown in a Lifetime Production class. List only placings from the class entered in the contest. In no case will the same animal be eligible for the Lifetime Production class and the Aged Cow class in the same year.
